Intro

A MESSAGE FROM HUMAN RESOURCES The vision, mission, and core values of the Edwards Aquifer Authority clearly reflect our commitment to the development of all EAA staff. To support this commitment, we have created the Employee Training Course Catalog. This catalog will be available at the start of each year and provides information on training courses being offered at the EAA. While a majority of these sessions are available to all staff, we have included several sessions that are designed specifically for supervisors and managers. Over time, as our curriculum expands, we will update the catalog and add additional programs to the initial offering. Any updates to this catalog will be made available in SharePoint. If you have questions about the registration process, or course content, please contact Margaret Ross, Compensation & Organizational Development Coordinator at 210.477.5110 or via email at mross@ edwardsaquifer.org. We encourage all employees to take ownership of their ongoing professional and personal development and to partner with their supervisor/manager as they plan experiences that support their career goals.

EMPLOYEE TRAINING CATALOG OVERVIEW This catalog provides a 2020 Schedule at a Glance and a Workshop by Category/Department view. The 2020 Schedule at a Glance will allow you to view the scheduled courses by each month for the current year. The Workshop by Category/Department will allow you to view the scheduled courses by category/department. If you decide to print this catalog, it is best to print using the normal one-sided print setting. However, we recommend to view the catalog electronically as doing so will allow you to immediately register for a training course. The location of this catalogwill bemaintained in SharePoint >Human Resources > Employee Training Course Catalog. Training Availability This catalog contains available training courses scheduled for the EAA for the current year. In addi- tion, you may enroll in various online training courses through Fred Pryor Career Track or our EAA Corporate Memebership Program through New Horizons Computer Learning Centers. More infor- mation on these programs can be found at the end of the catalog. Mandatory Training The EAA is required to conduct certain mandatory training for staff and an annual basis. To identify mandatory training for the year, please view the Workshop by Category > Mandatory column. In the event you're unable to attend, you must contact Human Resources for alternate arrangements. Registration Process To identify courses that require registration, please view the Workshop by Category > Registration column and click on the title of the course to be directed to the online registration portal. You are required to obtain supervisor approval prior to registering for a training course. As soon as you've registered for a training course, it is your responsibility to block/reserve the date/time on your out- Course duration can range from one hour to six hours. Courses lasting for four hours or more, will break for a one hour lunch period. If a course ends earlier than scheduled, you are required to return to your normal work duties. Cancellation If you're unable to attend a registered course or need to reschedule, please cancel your original registration by contacting Margaret Ross as soon as possible. Fred Pryor+ Learning Solutions For EAA groups of 10 or more, join Fred Pryor+ for just $199 per person and receive access to more than 12,000 off-site seminars, over 5,000 online courses, and over 3,500 microlearning courses. Course topics range from accounting, communication, compliance and workplace safety to customer service, IT, leadership, project and time management.

Available courses are posted on the Fred Pryor+Website . In addition, a majority of these cours- es offer continuing education credits for CEU, CPE, HRCI, PDC and PDU.
