Dear Friends, Calendars serve as tools to mark the passage of time. But beyond days and months on pages, what truly personalizes the journey of time is the multitude of experiences that fill and shape the days, months and years of our lives. It is from these experiences that we gain knowledge, wisdom, and hope for the future. There was a 19th century Danish philosopher, Soren Kierkegaard, who once said, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” As we celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2021, we take Kierkegaard’s words to heart, and we are humbled. For we know that if we are better off today that we were a quarter century ago, it is only because of so many that came before us; those that in their time met, withstood and overcame the challenges of their day to give us a founfation of understanding and hope to imagine a better tomorrow. Please accept this calendar a a gesture of gratitude to you and to all who have helped shape the EAA mission over the past 25 years.
