Description: The Coaching and Mentoring course focuses on how to better coach your employees to higher performance. Coaching is a process of relationship building and setting goals. How well you coach is directly related to how well you are able to foster a great working relationship with your employees through understanding them and strategic goal setting.

This course will equip you with the skills and techniques to: • Define coaching, mentoring, and the GROW model. • Identify and set appropriate goals using the SMART technique. • Define the current state or reality of your employee’s situation. • Define options for your employee and plan. • Finalize a plan with your employee. • Identify the benefits of building and fostering trust with your employee. • Identify the steps in giving effective feedback while maintaining trust.

Description: Writing corrective employee feedback is tricky. This course is designed for managers and focuses on how to write legally useful employee performance documentation. It shares prac- tical strategies for transforming abstract thoughts into clear, concrete descriptions, whether they are positive or negative. Participant Requirements: Participants collect and bring 3-5 sample employee performance re- views (with names or other identifying information removed) with them to class. These samples will not be shared publicly, so no need to worry about mistakes. Included Items: Interactive Instruction, Participant Workbook, Revision of Actual Work Documents
